Hari ani kami ke paeds clinic for Darwish check-up..This was bcos of the delay in walking, a slight bulging bony prominence on his forehead and creases/amniotic bands in his ankles.(my previous post on this).
I was so confident that we will be discharged since Darwish pun dah pandai jalan and berlari..But sedih banar ku when i was referred to the CDC(Child Development Center) due to delayed speech..Darwish belum tau panggil 'mama', 'babah' and worst is that he seem not to know his name..
I was so heart broken being referred to the CDC that my nurse-mates working in the clinic took the time to reassure me..I know its the best thing for Darwish and its just for asssessment saja,but i just cant cope if my chubby,very healthy and active Darwish needs special needs..Nda ku sanggup to go through that..
I keep on telling myself that its just positional plagiocephaly(skull plates/fontanelles fused too early).. Darwish memang jenis dari lahir nda suka tido tiarap. If it is so, it doesnt put any pressure on Darwish's brain and it wont affect his developments.The pic below is an example but the buldging below is too much compared to Darwish's..
At the moment, Im definitely grateful that that Darwish
eats well(and he is now 15kg!)
- always finish up his milk tanpa setitik pun tinggal
- can say few words i.e Hi five, mum(makan),num(minum),ngi-yow(kucing),bak bak bak(tom tom bak),one, two,four,no-no(jangan),hye,bye,yey(hoorah),nenen(susu),bob(bob the builder,man(ultraman).
- head circumference is within normal range
- quite tall for his age.
- handsome and sejuk mata meliat especially when im feeling dowm like today..Took the photo below immediately after the clinic session. This is to tell myself not to be too paranoid cos my Darwish is happy and not sick.
Oh yes...We stopped by at Guardian and bought this lotion for Darwish..Walaupun Darwish really love to drink, but kulitnya kering hantap..My colleague use it for her son yang ada eczema..Ku semangat pakai untuk dry skin..hehe
