Maya Karin, 29, has married her sweetheart Steven Shorthose or Muhammad Ali Abdullah(a British-born Maths teacher at Alice Smith International School) ,38, in a simple akad nikah at Lake Como in Bellagio, Italy.
Among the guests included director Shuhaimi Baba and model-turned-actress Kavita Sidhu.Maya, who looked elegant in a white wedding gown designed by Syaiful Baharim, arrived in Italy last Friday.In an email sent from Bellagio, Maya declined to be interviewed, saying "please wait for my return". Maya and Muhammad Ali are expected to leave for their honeymoon in Venice before heading home here on Wednesday.The newly-weds will hold a reception in Kepong on Aug 29.
